CONCERT REVIEW - June, 2004
Wigmore Hall, London This was a memorable performance. Who cares if it did not probe Schubert’s darker side? Up on the Wigmore Hall’s platform an uproarious performance of this perennial delight was taking place, among friends. Their glee was infectious. Kenneth Carter, classicalsource.com, June 2004 In very few years, the Belcea Quartet has grown from a live-wire young ensemble into one of the most mature quartets around. Their sound is mellow and warm, there is no sense of the leader over-dominating (the downfall of many quartets), and their unanimity is astounding. << Previous 1 2 3 4 5 Next >> |
